Science and projects at ECON MUNI 2025
As the new year begins, we look back at the past year of science and projects at ECON MUNI.
Updated September at 12 a.m.
The ECON MUNI management, after careful consideration due to weather conditions, decided to cancel Monday's Garden party at the Faculty of Economics and Administration MU. We apologize to everyone for the complications and hope to be able to meet soon under more favorable circumstances. Thank you for your understanding!
Dear students,
As you may have already noticed from the email communication and on the MUNI website, our university has decided to take preventive measures in connection with concerns about potential flooding to ensure the safety of our students.
At the moment, the measures primarily affect those staying at the Sladkého and Bří Žůrků dormitories in Brno-Komárov. These students have already been informed by the dormitories about the need to relocate to alternative accommodation.
As a precaution, Masaryk University is also postponing the move-in dates to all dormitory buildings under SKM MU. The arrival of international students (except Slovaks) remains unaffected. Please stay in touch with the dormitory managers.
At ECON MUNI, we currently do not anticipate major changes in the organization of the first week. Specifically:
Important change at the Faculty of Sports Studies (PE courses): All classes for all students are cancelled for the next week starting from September 16!
We will continue to assess the situation over the weekend, so please stay updated with the latest information on this website and our social media on Instagram and Facebook.
ECON MUNI will stay in touch with you!
Jiří Špalek, Dean of ECON MUNI
As the new year begins, we look back at the past year of science and projects at ECON MUNI.
The ROBUST project, in which Masaryk University's Faculty of Economics and Administration is involved, organised a workshop in Brno in September where researchers from ECON MUNI presented the results of their research on the coordination of public institutions. The focus of the meeting was how to strengthen the preparedness of the state and local governments for crises such as the COVID-19 pandemic, and why cooperation at the local level is key to effective and robust governance.
