On 29 June 2022, Professor Lisa Dierker finally held a workshop at FEA MU after two years of postponement, in which she presented her experience with a project-oriented multidisciplinary approach to teaching statistical courses.

The workshop discussed not only the content and inspirational form of such a curriculum, but also the associated time commitment for teachers. For example, an interesting suggestion was to involve senior students as "mentors" in teaching and project evaluation, thereby reducing the time burden that would be unbearable for teachers in such a curriculum. The advantage of such an approach is the students' quick insight into statistical concepts and their ability to independently and, more importantly, creatively approach the exploration of different phenomena through data, which, according to Professor Dierker, is one of the essential competences of the 21st century.
