Our student won the EY competition for the best bachelor's thesis

Our student Kateřina Šťastná won the competition for the best bachelor's thesis in the academic year 2019/2020 announced by EY. She succeeded with a work written in English on the topic of Analysis of book closing processes connected to reporting of a chosen company, which she prepared at the Department of Finance under the supervision of Petr Valouch.

In her work, she dealt with the analysis of selected closing operations of the chosen company and their impact on the reporting.

With her work, Kateřina won the competition of dozens of bachelor's theses from students from all over the Czech Republic and thus deservedly won the main prize and a reward of CZK 15,000. We would like to congratulate her on this extraordinary success!

Health economists from ECON MUNI are also part of the international team. Jakub Hlávka, head of the Health Economics, Policy, and Innovation Institute (HEPII), says that palliative care should take the emotional, spiritual, and cultural needs of patients into account.

The COVID-19 pandemic affected the way the state administration worked at all levels during the pandemic. Some of the changes introduced still apply, while other changes such as remote work in some organisations are slowly disappearing and authorities are restoring to pre-pandemic practices.
