Professor Juraj Nemec from the Department of Public Economics FEA MU, together with colleagues from Charles University and Matej Bel University, published an article in Public Management Review, the most important journal in the field of public management in the world.

The article presents the results of their long-term research on the development of the social economy and social entrepreneurship in the Czech Republic and Slovakia after 1989 and also shows in which direction it would be appropriate to develop the field of social entrepreneurship in the future.

Congratulations to Professor Nemec and the whole team on their publication success.

The article The evolutionary trajectory of social enterprises in the Czech Republic and Slovakia deals with social entrepreneurship, which has strong roots in the history of the Czech Republic and Slovakia, and its evolution. The published results show that social entrepreneurship in the Czech Republic and Slovakia is developing differently after the revolutionary year of 1989. According to Professor Nemec, these differences are most pronounced during the so - called external economic shocks, such as the global financial and economic crisis between 2008 and 2010, or the political ones, such as the accession to the EU in 2004.
