Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions – Postdoctoral Fellowship

Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions – Postdoctoral Fellowship targets researchers with a PhD who wish to conduct their research activities abroad, acquire new skills and develop their careers. International Development and Research Projects

Within the framework of international development and research projects, mutual cooperation between universities in the Czech Republic as well as cooperation between domestic and foreign universities is implemented. Supported activities include research, mobility, exchange programmes, innovations and cooperation that includes practical training.

EU Structural Fund Projects

Structural fund projects are an important tool for the development of the investment and non-investment activities of the faculty. For example, investments in research, development and innovations for practical trainings, development of the use of computer infrastructure and cross-border cooperation are supported.

National Agencies

The projects of the Czech Science Foundation (GACR) support scientists and teams, as well as young and early-stage researchers. There are also bilateral projects and projects addressed within European international programmes. The faculty also deals with projects of the Technology Agency of the Czech Republic (TA CR) supporting applied research and development in order to contribute to the achievement of strategic, economic and social goals of the Czech Republic.

Internal Projects

Masaryk University Development Fund (FRMU), Grant Agency of Masaryk University (GAMU) and Internal Projects of the MU Rector's Office are internal competitions that focus on supporting academics, researchers, as well as profiling and innovation of degree programmes/courses, increasing prestige and success in obtaining international grant projects, etc.

Other Projects

Projects aimed at supporting the initiation and further development of international cooperation in research and development and the integration of the Czech Republic into European and world research structures (Visegrad Fund and INTER-EXCELLENCE ...).

ECON MUNI students learn how to be good project managers using an online game

ECON MUNI students learn how to plan, manage, and successfully complete a project with the help of an online simulation game Promis. Players not only learn the skills and abilities needed to work in management, but they can also collaborate in international teams. Students can now play new and updated scenarios that have been developed thanks to the EDUCating for Positive Management (EDUC+M) project.

Students designed how to make Technology Park smarter

As of Friday, MUNISS inter-university competition knows its winners. A team of students from Masaryk University, Brno University of Technology and Mendel University presented a project focused on the circular economy and the quality of the external environment in the Technology Park Brno. Matej Sršeň from the Faculty of Economics and Administration is one of the members of the winning team.

ECON MUNI research team proposes measures to improve the quality of air and life in Brno

What do we breathe in Brno and how can we make the air cleaner in the future? The team of Vilém Pařil and Dominika Tóthová, in cooperation with the City of Brno, will propose measures for cleaner air and, consequently, better quality of life in the city. In recent weeks, the scientists have met several times with representatives of the city's districts to hear their comments.

Prize for innovation awarded to scientists from ECON MUNI

The MUNI Innovation Award went to Vilém Pařil, Martin Šauer and Daniel Seidenglanz (in memoriam) from the Faculty of Economics and Administration. Using data on SIM card movements, they were able to find out how many people regularly travel between Prague, Brno, and Ostrava. Their research can be used, for example, by the Ministry of Transport or Czech Railways.
