What will you learn?

The Finance and Law degree programme is an inter-faculty master's degree programme taught in cooperation with the Faculty of Economics and Administration and the Faculty of Law at Masaryk University. Its aim is to prepare graduates for independent and qualified work in financial institutions, public administration, and financial system regulation and supervision bodies by combining knowledge in the fields of finance and law.

The degree programme develops an understanding of the principles of financial decision-making, legal regulation of financial markets, taxation and public support systems, and the relationship between the public and private sectors. Particular emphasis is placed on the ability to critically combine economic and legal approaches in the analysis and resolution of complex problems.

Students can further develop their professional focus through thematic blocks focused on private finance (block A), public finance (block B), and practice and international experience (block C).

Practical training

The internship is an optional part of the elective Track C in the Master's programme Finance and Law. Students may enrol in this course as one of the options to connect theoretical knowledge with practical experience. The course consists of a short-term internship with a selected institution. Students may either choose from a list of pre-arranged internship placements or propose their own, subject to approval by the course guarantor.
