    Submit your application

    Create an e-application. Upload all the required documents online and submit your e-application. The application fee is 750 CZK and can be paid only through the e-application.

    Note: Use your own personal email address in your application, even if you are working with an agent.

    Wait for the results

    Applications are processed continuously, therefore you should receive your admission decision no later than two months after the submission of your application. Make sure to apply as soon as possible.

  • May - June 2024

    Prepare for your arrival

    If you are accepted (congratulations!), you will begin the process of obtaining a visa for the Czech Republic (unless you are from the EU). We will send you all the necessary information and documents regarding this process so please make sure to check your emails regularly as this information will be crucial for your successful beginning of studies at Masaryk University.

When does the application become available?

Applications for September intake become available on December 15.

What are the application deadlines?

September intake: Applications, including all supporting documents and application fee, are due on April 15.

February intake: Applications, including all supporting documents and application fee, are due on October 15.

Can I still apply after the deadline?

Application deadlines are strictly enforced. Applications, supporting documentation, and application fee must be received by the appropriate deadline.

When will I know the result?

The admission committee makes the final decision after the final deadline for submitting applications. You should know the results within 3 weeks after the deadline.

Application Materials
Do I need to send transcripts in with my application?

Applicants are required to upload final transcripts (the record of all courses and grades from their high school education) in the original language, stamped and signed by the authorizedoffice or by a notary public official. Transcripts whose original language is not English or Czech should be accompanied by an official English language translation, stamped and signed by a translating company or an authorized office.

What test is needed for admission?

How much is the application fee?

The application fee is 750 CZK. It is payable by credit (debit) card only. The application fee is non-refundable.

All applications received by the appropriate deadline with the application fee paid are guaranteed full consideration by the admissions committee, unless any part of their application is found to be plagiarized. By submitting their applications, all applicants confirm that they understand it is an offence to submit inaccurate information, or plagiarized or fraudulent documentation, and that the University may decline such applications.

Is there an entrance exam?

No entrance exam is required. The admission committee evaluates your application materials to make the admission decision. Some applicants may be invited for an interview as part of the application process. If you're invited, attending the interview is required, but not every applicant will go through the interview process.

Do I need an English proficiency certificate?

Applicants whose first language is not English are required to provide satisfactory evidence of their proficiency in English. The required scores are as follows:

  • TOEFL – 550 points (paper-based test), or 213 points (computer-based test), or 79 points (internet-based test),
  • IELTS – Overall Band Score 6.5 and higher,
  • CAE – grade A or B,
  • CPE – grade A, B or C,
  • obtaining other internationally recognized certificate with a result equivalent to the TOEFL exam.
