HAVE A LOOK AT OUR SELECTION PROCEDURE

The Faculty of Economics and Administration is the proud recipient of the HR Excellence in Research Award awarded by the European Commission. In the process of recruitment and selection, we follow the principles of the European Charter and Code for Researchers. The Faculty supports equal opportunities and non-discrimination.

Selection procedures at the Faculty are regulated by the MU Selection Procedure Regulations, are open, transparent and follow the principle of evaluation based on the results achieved (OTM-R policy). Further, they are governed by the faculty rules, which are publicly available; you can read it here

The privacy policy is maintained when filling posts, even after the selection procedure has been completed. The results of selection procedures are published on the MU website.

What does the selection process look like?

  • I want to work at ECON MUNI

In the Vacancies section you will find all current job positions. Using the electronic application, send us your CV and cover letter, or other required documents.

  • Sending your CV

We select suitable candidates based on the received CVs. The evaluation of CVs is part of the first round of the selection process and usually takes between 2 and 4 weeks. The most suitable candidates will then be contacted and invited to the second round, which can also be conducted online.

  • Personal interview

If we have selected you, we will call you and invite you for an interview. It is usually attended by an HR representative, a direct supervisor and one of the potential colleagues. There may be as many as five of us, but don't be alarmed, it's so that we can better assess the individual applicants. For some job positions, we also use other options to demonstrate your work abilities and skills. For example, you may encounter a request for:

    • processing of case studies,
    • personality tests,
    • realization of a presentation or lecture,
    • reference checks.
  • Job offer

We will usually let you know after this round whether we have selected you or not. We usually do this by phone and then send you a job offer by email, summarising the terms of cooperation.

Of course, we will inform all those who were not unsuccessful in the selection procedure about the result.

We have prepared an adaptation programme for new hires to help them find their way in the new working environment.
