He is a head of Department of Regional Economics and Administration at the Faculty of Economics and Administration, Masaryk University. In his research he focuses attention on regional development, regional innovation systems, the evaluation of innovation potential and possibilities for its enhancement through regional innovation policy. He also centres his research interest on issues of real estate valuation.
