Starting in September, we are launching Competencies for the future, a learning series offering 7 practical workshops for all employees, regardless of their role or area of expertise.

The workshops will focus on developing key competencies, known as power skills – the abilities that help us think more effectively, make better decisions, learn continuously, navigate change, and collaborate successfully with others. As today's work environment continues to evolve rapidly, these skills are becoming increasingly important.

What topics can you look forward to?

  • Critical Thinking – how to form sound judgments in the age of AI
  • Decision-Making Under Uncertainty – how to make good decisions even when information is incomplete
  • Problem Framing – how to define a problem correctly before searching for solutions
  • Systems Thinking – how to see connections and anticipate the impact of decisions
  • Learning Agility – how to learn quickly and succeed in new situations
  • Adaptability – how to remain effective in an environment of constant change
  • Collaboration – how to leverage diverse perspectives to find better solutions

All workshops are highly practical and designed for immediate application in everyday work.

The first workshop in September!

  • The series will begin with the workshop Critical Thinking: How to Form Sound Judgments in the Age of AI, which will take place on 23 September 2026 from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. in the Kounic Hall at Masaryk University Rector's Office (RMU).
