Mathematics – Economics

This field is taught in the scope of an interfaculty study program together with the Faculty of Science, i.e. the guaranteeing faculty is not FEA but the partner faculty. If you are interested in enrolling in this field, you have to apply to the above-mentioned faculty and not to the FEA.

The field of study Mathematics – Economics is designed for students who are interested in mathematics and economics. In the initial stage of their study, students acquire separately the basis of general mathematical and economic disciplines. This basis is afterwards developed by the interconnection of both the fields in mathematical applications used in economics. Students regularly use computers and modern mathematical software during their studies when analyzing and processing economic data. Graduates have an excellent theoretical background that enables them to adapt quickly to requirements of the constantly changing world.

Job perspectives for graduates of this field:

Students of this field have a good prerequisite for continuing within the economic science. They often engage in the field of economic data analysis and processing. Current graduates work in banks, economic and financial institutions, business and production companies (especially mid and top management), public administration, etc.
