Graduate profile reflects a comprehensive range of general, expert and specific knowledge and skills gradually acquired over the period of the scientific postgraduate studies. The goal of this research study is to gain profound theoretical insights into economics, particularly into macroeconomics and economic policy. Graduates will be able to make independent analyses and assessments of economic phenomena, most notably the economic policy related issues. They will be capable of making a critical evaluation of a real economic development, commenting on econo-political measures as well as putting forward such measures independently. They will also apply research practices in the complex analysis of situations in national economy and econo-political contexts and frame conceptions, programmes, projects and analyses in this area.
Graduates in Economic Policy will be able to operate in a variety of specialist economic professions, work at a tertiary level of education or pursue an individual scientific career. They may apply their knowledge as authors of strategic solutions to economic problems at all levels (central, regional, local), advisors or experts counselling political entities and state administration. They will be qualified for top and executive jobs in state and regional administration and the European Union institutions, i.e. in central and regional bodies generating conditions for the operation of economic entities. Equally, graduates will be eligible to work in the research departments of banks, financial institutions, industrial companies and business corporations.
