Development Projects

This section deals with individual development projects, which fall under the management and monitoring the Office for Research and Development.

For information on projects within the Czech Science Foundation, or the Grant Agency of AS, see the website of the Science and Research.

PROGRAMME OF SUPPORT TO INDIVIDUAL PROJECTS AT INDIVIDUAL WORKPLACES OF THE FEA MU FOR 2009

The objective of the programme is to support the preparation of intended projects for the operational programmes, the Seventh Framework Programme and other Community Programmes in the axes announced in 2009, with the aim of increasing the absorption and project capacities of the Faculty.

The programme is intended for both academic and non-academic staff, with project inventions who are able to prepare a project plan within a valid call for given programme.

A proposal of a project plan is entered by the author, upon letting know to his or her department head and upon consulting it with the Office for Research and Development, into the system maintained by the Office for Research and Development (project fiche form). The vice-dean for strategy and development submits the project plan for discussion to the Faculty Management and informs the author of the result of this process. Conditions and Amount of Grant: The financial resources amounting to CZK 10,000.–  per one project plan will be sent to the proposer if the project plan is recommended by the Faculty Management for further processing and for submitting to the programme sponsor (operational programmes, Seventh Framework Programme, other Community Programme). If there are several proposers within one project plan, the above stated amount will be divided in aliquot parts according to the number of proposers.

Proposals may be submitted starting from May 1, 2009 to November 20, 2009.

University Development Fund (FRVŠ)

Since 2008, the agenda of the Office for Research and Development has also included FRVŠ projects. The University Development Fund is a fund of financial assets allocated to university budgets by the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports every year, based on a suggestion of the Council of Higher Education Institutions. The projects of the University Development Fund are intended to contribute to the completion of tasks in the area of creative development of educational activities at the universities.

ANNOUNCEMENT OF FRVŠ FOR 2010

The Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports announced the call for the University Development Fund for 2010.

SUBMITTING FRVŠ PROJECTS FOR 2010

In compliance with the new guideline of the Rector – Project Management and Administration at the MU – the proposals for the FRVŠ projects for 2010 must be entered into the ISEP system no later than April 20, 2009, and at the same time, they also have to be entered into the ISAAR-F system and submitted to the Faculty.

ANALYSIS OF FRVŠ PROJECTS SUBMITTED IN 2005 – 2009

The Office prepared an analysis which contains an overview of the projects which have been submitted within FRVŠ since 2005. The objective of the analysis was to assess the weaknesses of submitted projects and to write down recommendations for future solvers. The recommendations react not only to the most frequent formal mistakes in the past projects, but they are also based on the guidelines for opponents, which serve as a basis for evaluation of individual projects.

EES’S AND NORWAY’S FINANCIAL MECHANISMS

By means of the Financial Mechanism of the European Economic Space and Norway, it is possible to award grants to Czech entities for investment and development projects in priority areas which include e.g. protection and renewal of cultural heritage, protection of the environment, support of courts. The financial mechanism of the EES and Norway may be an interesting alternative for those who cannot get grants from the structural funds.
