Train and bus

Getting to Brno by train

• Get on tram No. 1 at HLAVNÍ NÁDRAŽÍ (Main railway-station) stop (direction BYSTRC);
• After 11 minutes you will reach LIPOVÁ stop (7th stop from HLAVNÍ NÁDRAŽÍ);
• Cross the road and walk uphill;
• After approximately 200 metres you will get directly in front of the faculty building (Lipová 41a).

Getting to Brno by bus

If you are coming to Brno by bus and you arrive at Ústřední autobusové nádraží Zvonařka (Central bus station Zvonařka), the easiest way to your “destination” is as follows:

• Take bus No. 84 at AUTOBUSOVÉ NÁDRAŽÍ bus stop (circular route);
• After 7 minutes you will get to MENDLOVO NÁMĚSTÍ (3rd stop), where you shall change to tram No. 1 (direction BYSTRC);
• Get off on 3rd stop (LIPOVÁ);
• Further on navigation is identical as in the previous scheme.

If you arrive in Brno at the bus station in front of GRAND HOTEL, the navigation is the same as when you come by train.

A few comments on Brno public transport

We recommend that you buy a 60-minute ticket (available at the newsagent or in a ticket machine for CZK 22, or from the driver for CZK 30 – please note that the driver need not have enough tickets available, therefore it is advisable to buy your ticket before you get on!). The ticket must be marked in the machine immediately after getting on, otherwise it is not valid!
